Methods for Preventing Caking of Fertilizer

As everyone knows, the longer organic fertilizer is produced, the more likely it is to agglomerate. The following points should be noted during the process of organic fertilizer production.

Choose the raw materials reasonably, that is, choose the raw materials that are not easy to agglomerate. The main raw materials are relatively dry, and when the air is not too humid, the final fertilizer doesn’t agglomerate. For example, micro-nutrient foliar fertilizers are made from iron, copper, manganese, zinc, sulfate, boric acid, ammonium molybdate, and the magnesium sulfate is additives. In general, the selection of raw materials should be in favor of dry materials.

Choose the right production time. Take China for example, most of China is located in the northern temperate zone, so the rainy season is concentrated in June, July, and August. Therefore, in the spring, late autumn, and winter, fertilizer production is good, because the air humidity is low and the temperature is not high, so it is not easy to agglomerate.

Add some non-caking agents, such as talc, humic acid and other powders. Some surfactants can also be added.

Adopt reasonable packing and transportation mode to prevent extrusion. The outer packing material should be waterproof and ventilated.
